DANA YOUSSEF, LAc-DAOM/MTCM, RN-BSN, NC-BC

Dana brings to her practice an extensive background in medical, complimentary and holistic modalities from an accumulation of more than 25 years experience as an acupuncturist, nurse, Usui reiki master, medical qi gong practitioner and medical volunteer.

While listening and interacting with clients to facilitate their own personal healing journey, Dana understands that mind, body and spirit are essential to wellness and wholeness. She incorporates the many modalities from her personal tool bag to create and individualize each treatment plan.

Dana’s focus of interest includes acute and chronic pain management, stress related disorders, women’s health, insomnia, headaches, facial rejuvenation acupuncture and microneedling.

Dana completed her Master Degree of Traditional Chinese Medicine (MTCM) at Five Branches University, Santa Cruz and is currently licensed by the State of California and the National Certifying Board as a Diplomate in Acupuncture and Chinese herbs.

A graduate of the Five Branches University Doctoral Program in San Jose, Dana specialized in pain management and women’s health and interned at Highland Hospital within the Integrative Medicine Program.

Dana has completed advanced coursework in:

  • Applied Channel Theory with Dr Wang Ju-Yi at the Renmen University Hospital, Beijing China.
  • Traditional Japanese Acupuncture using TeiShin Needles with Anryu Iwahina (AKA “Dr. Bear”).
  • Trigger Point Acupuncture/Dry Needling Therapy with Myopain Seminars.
  • Constitutional Facial Rejuvenation Series with Mary Elizabeth Wakefield.
  • Microneedling for Acupuncturists Training and Certification.
  • Healing Community Trauma with Acupuncturists Without Borders.
  • Medical Qi Gong Practitioner Series with Francesca Ferrari.
  • Using Essential Oils in Chinese Medicine with Peter Holmes.
  • Journey Into Healing with Deepak Chopra.

Additionally, she is a registered nurse with over 25 years experience in the ICU, OR, PACU and home health, a board certified nurse coach, Usui Reiki Master practicing for over 25 years and medical qi-gong practitioner. She has trained with Healing Circles Global to facilitate Healing Circles and studied with Jill Miller and completed the Yoga Tune Up© Level 1 Certification training.

Dana has worked with many local and international volunteer agencies including: Acupuncturists Without Borders (AWB), Rock Medicine thru the Haight Ashbury Free Clinics, Remote Area Medical (RAM), Tzu- Chi Organization,  Me-One Foundation at Camp Wiser, Acupuncture Relief Project (ARP) in Nepal, and Healing Waters Wilderness Adventures (HWWA) as a white water raft guide.
